The primary goal of Howl Entertainment Conventions is for our attendees to have fun in a safe and enjoyable environment. To ensure this, we have established the following rules and regulations. Howl Entertainment welcomes everyone to our conventions but reserves the right to deny or revoke access to any individual at any time for any reason.
Any action, behavior, or dress that significantly interferes with convention operations, causes significant discomfort to other attendees, or affects the convention's relationship with the venue, attendees, or the public is strictly prohibited. Such actions may result in removal from the property and a ban from current or future events hosted by Howl Entertainment. This includes behavior before, during, and after the convention, whether on or off the convention site.
Badges and Convention Identification
- The convention badge provided at registration is the property of Howl Entertainment and must be surrendered upon request. You may keep your badge after the end of the convention. - Your badge must be visible at all times when you are in the convention space. This badge is your identification for entering events within the space. - By accepting your badge, you agree to abide by all Howl Entertainment policies and any other agreements in place at the time of the convention. - Badge holders agree to indemnify and hold harmless Howl Entertainment from any claims for personal injuries or damages arising from their activities at the conventions, even if caused by the negligence of Howl Entertainment.
Attendance by Minors
- Children under 18 are permitted to attend Howl Entertainment Conventions. - Children 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. - Minors aged 15-17 may attend without a parent or guardian. Anything that the minor participates in at any Howl Entertainment Conventions is the sole responsibility of the minor's parent or guardian regardless of whether they are present or not. - Minors are not permitted in 18+ or adults-only areas, even with parental consent. - Minors aged 6 and under are permitted a badge without paying the badge fee.
Convention “Rating”
- Howl Entertainment Conventions are rated PG in all public areas and PG-13 after 7 PM. - Exceptions are made for clearly marked “Mature” areas such as the 18+ sections of the Art Show or Dealer’s Room. - Controlled access areas may require photo identification along with convention badges to verify age before admittance. - 18+ areas are off-limits to minors regardless of parental consent.
General Rules
- No sleeping in public areas of the hotel or convention spaces. - Follow any reasonable instructions given by a staff member. If an instruction seems unreasonable, address concerns to the department lead. - Convention spaces are open only to registered attendees or visitors escorted by staff. - Badges are issued to one person and may not be shared. - Providing transportation or housing to a banned individual will result in a permanent ban. - Smoking and vaping are not permitted in convention spaces or hotel rooms. - Outside alcohol is not permitted in convention spaces. - Acts of vandalism, deliberate damage, or theft will result in immediate and permanent removal from the conventions. - Merchandise sales are allowed only in designated areas like the Dealer's Room or Artist Alley.
Hotel and Rooms/Parties
- The person named in the room reservation is responsible for all activities and damages in the room. Howl Entertainment accepts no liability for whatever may occur within the confines of private hotel rooms. Incidents which occur in these rooms are the sole responsibility of the individual to whom the room is rented. This includes payment for any and all damage, responsibility for complaints levied against the room (including noise complaints), and any other issues that may arise. You should report any damage to the hotel and to Howl Entertainment as soon as possible. - Signs may not be posted on hotel walls, hallways, or elevators without proper authorization. - Room parties are allowed, but noise must be kept at a reasonable level. Noise complaints may lead to eviction from the hotel or revocation of convention badges. - Housekeeping will only clean bagged trash. Rooms may be inspected daily. - Room parties on designated party floors are subject to specific rules.
Lost and Found
- Lost and Found will be maintained in the Convention Operations Office. Unclaimed items will be given to the hotel after the convention.
Dress Code
- Collars and leashes are allowed but cannot be used to lead persons in public areas. - Pup hoods are allowed at all times. - Public exposure of bare breasts, buttocks, or genitals is not permitted. - Full-body fursuits must not reveal genitals, buttocks, or breasts. - Hateful, provocative, or harassing clothing is not allowed. - Certain items, such as police cosplay and military dress, are prohibited.
Harassment/Assault
- Harassment includes physical assault, stalking, or unwelcome physical attention and any conduct that targets or intimidates others. - Reports of harassment or assault are taken very seriously. Report any issues to Convention Operations or CRT immediately. - Personal disputes must be resolved by the parties involved and relevant authorities. - Continued unwanted contact, even over digital platforms, may result in badge revocation. - Touching anyone without permission is strictly prohibited.
Weapons
- Real weapons are not permitted in convention spaces. - Reasonable facsimiles of firearms are Not prohibited.
Substance Abuse
- The sale, distribution, use, or possession of controlled substances will result in immediate ejection from the convention and law enforcement involvement. - Marijuana products are not permitted inside the convention space or on hotel property.
Media Relations, Photography, and Videography
- Members of the press must display an official badge and may not conduct interviews or take photos without permission. - Attendees may take photos and videos for personal use only. Commercial use requires approval from Howl Entertainment.
Payments to Howl Entertainment
- Howl Entertainment accepts most major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Chargebacks made without sufficient cause will result in a permanent ban.
Sales, Flyers, and Solicitation
- Flyers, signs, or business cards must be distributed only in designated convention spaces. - No adult materials or implied adult activities may be advertised. - Handheld signs offering free items are permitted.
Music
- Portable speakers must be turned off in enclosed convention spaces. Music must be quiet enough to talk over without raising your voice. - Musicians must not obstruct walkways or disrupt events.
Convention-Specific Policies
- Each convention may have its own specific rules or regulations. Check the convention-specific website for details.
Accessibility - Pets are not permitted in the convention space, except for recognized service animals as defined by the ADA. - Howl Entertainment is committed to providing reasonable accommodations. Modifications to Policies
Howl Entertainment reserves the right to modify policies or procedures at any time without prior warning. Any changes will be communicated via social media and the convention website whenever practical.
These rules are established to ensure the safety and comfort of our members. The overarching rule is: "Any action or behavior that causes significant interference with convention operations, excessive discomfort to other attendees, or adversely affects Howl Entertainment or the convention's relationship with its guests, venue, or the public is strictly forbidden and may result in revocation of Convention privileges."
